Jūratė Orlovienė

A long-time geography teacher who has worked at Tauragė “Versmė” Gymnasium since 2001, having begun her teaching career at Tarailiai Primary School and later worked at Mažvydas Secondary School, she has accumulated 30 years of teaching experience.

This teacher, who understood from an early age that she wanted to dedicate her life to school, possesses exceptional dedication to her work, integrity, and strong character. She believes that a good teacher must be devoted to their work, honest with themselves and others, and determined to work without counting time and effort.

One of the teacher’s greatest achievements is her students’ success and the recognition of their accomplishments. She takes pride in her contribution to school life, particularly in implementing European projects together with her colleague Ingrida Vaičienė. The teacher has earned prestigious awards, such as the national “Teacher of the Year” title and the Tauragė District “Tauro Ragas” award.

The teacher is strong, determined, and always striving for excellence. She actively engages in sports, enjoys running and spending time in nature, which further emphasizes her connection with nature and sustainability. The teacher believes that love for her work and the support of loved ones are the main sources of her strength, helping her avoid burnout and constantly move forward.

Since childhood, she dreamed of becoming a teacher, and now, working in her dream job, she strives to make school a free and independent space where students want to learn and develop. The teacher, with her strong character and refusal to take the easiest paths, is an excellent example to her students and colleagues.

She constantly learns from mistakes and good examples, respects everyone around her, and believes that every student has unique qualities that are valuable. Such qualities as dedication, love for nature, strong character, and constant pursuit of excellence make this teacher an outstanding example of a Green Tauragė ambassador.
